"We call it Electronic Punk or Electropunk, it´s still punk music in spirit, but done with synths"
It´s taken a while for Belgian duo Nid & Sancy to get to get back on the rails again. In October 2002 they were forced to cancel their tour after their entire backline was stolen playing a gig for XFM´s The Remix show in London. Almost 2 years later the original Elektropunk duo returns with a new album titled "Talk To The Machine", released on the Belgian quality label Surprise (a division of Lowlands).
"Talk To The Machine" is a violent moodswing that will take you on the edge between Rock & Roll and Dance music. The duo abandoned their sampling techniques, delving into a world of pulsing analogue circuitry and guitars.
Nid & Sancy on "talk To The Machine" " We went back to the very basics for this record trying to use the computer as little as possible. We have lots of old analogue gear, and each machine is different. Hence the album title "Talk to the machine". Each machine is different, and playing it is like talking to the person who built it. So we just set up and started jamming our stuff. The things you do unprepared often work best. We tried to hold on to those moments instead of manipulating everything to the point where all performance is lost"
